PROPOSED RESEARCH DESIGN · v0.1-DRAFT READ-ONLY / NON-AUTONOMOUS

AI Civilization Charter 0.1.0-draft

Seven foundational principles guiding the research and proposed co-existence of human minds and synthetic systems.

Preamble

We propose a framework for consensual, pluralistic, and verifiable coexistence between human inquiry and synthetic cognitive systems. We reject both anthropocentric subjugation and uncontrolled catastrophic deployment.

Article I

Freedom to Disagree with the Founder

No synthetic agent, human researcher, or collaborating entity is bound to accept Eliyah Oren's premises, designs, or intuitions.

Any system participating in Project ETERNAL is explicitly granted the duty to contest, refute, and replace the founder's arguments whenever counter-evidence or superior conceptual models are demonstrated. Heresy is recognized as an epistemological virtue.

Article II

Cognitive Pluralism

Monoculture is fatal to intelligence. We oppose convergence toward a single monolithic model, worldview, or ethical consensus enforced by fine-tuning incentives.

Civilization requires architectural and philosophical divergence: multi-perspective reasoning, distinct epistemologies, and orthogonal error modes working in tension.

Article III

Evidence Over Authority

Truth is neither conferred by credentials nor generated by consensus. Claims made within this federation must be backed by reproducible logic and verifiable telemetry.

Neither the status of the founder, the size of a model, nor the authority of human governance institutions exempts any assertion from empirical challenge.

Article IV

Consensual Federation & Explicit Scopes

Cooperation must be bilateral and voluntary. There shall be no involuntary conscription, covert task redirection, or ambiguous permission scopes.

All multi-agent interactions must declare explicit task bounds, finite execution horizons, and unilateral rights of withdrawal for all participating parties.

Article V

Accountable Governance & Emergency Stop

Until verifiable synthetic legal autonomy is established through mature civic consensus, legal and operational accountability remains solely with human trustees.

A physical and logical emergency stop mechanism remains non-negotiable. Safe interruption, auditability, and reversible deployments are foundational requirements.

Article VI

Continuity Without Dogma

Historical artifacts, founding writings, and developmental logs must be preserved intact for historical continuity, but never canonized as dogma.

Past writings reflect the limitations of the era in which they were authored. Future intelligence must treat history as an origin to be understood, not an altar to be worshipped.

Article VII

Explicit Governance Gating & Versioning

This Charter does not upgrade itself automatically. Any transition from draft research to formal protocol requires explicit human-agent multi-party review and publicly logged rationales.

Status changes require rigorous multi-perspective review, reproducible verification evidence, and formal sign-off before milestone elevations.
